The Tres Hermanas Vineyard & Winery was founded in 2001 by Marvin & Paulette Teixeira with the planting of a small vineyard on their cattle ranch.
Tres Hermanas which means the Three Sisters, was named for their three daughters, Stacey, Tracey & Marcey.
Our label is a picture of the barn that exhibits the JT cattle brand, which was Marvin's fathers brand used to identify cattle today. The barn still exists on the winery property. The ranch is still headquarters for the family cattle operation.
Our first harvest was in the fall of 2003 with the tasting room opening in July of 2007.

Bright ruby in color, this wine has an enticing nose of dusty cherries, dried roses and sandalwood. On the palate the cherries and berries persist, but the texture of the wine, from nicely evolved tannin and acidity, is remarkable. Velvety and soft, the tannins help to create a very long and persistent finish.Purchase
2010 Cabernet Sauvignon
Bright ruby red in color, this 2010 Cabernet boasts aromas of cherries and violets along with spicy sandalwood and cassis. On the palate there are more cherries along with plum and baking spices. Medium body and good acidity make this a food friendly Cabernet that would pair well with anything from tomato based pasta sauces to a grilled rib eye steak.Purchase
2012 Pinot Noir
Rich, ruby red color. The nose is classic Sta. Rita Hills Pinot… black cherries and raspberries with a ton of that cola spice that distinguishes this super cool-climate growing area. On the palate there is more of the cherry/berry theme along with some toasty flavor from French oak barrels. The mouth feel is soft and glossy with a terrific dose of acidity holding it all together and lengthening the finish.Purchase
2010 Tres Hermanas Refosco
Dark ruby red in color. The aroma of this wine really jumps right out of the glass. Ripe berries and rose petals mixed with beautifully integrated toasty oak make for a complex nose. On the palate the wine is lively with berries, red fruits and hints of cocoa on the finish. Well structured, the tannin and acidity will keep it fresh and vibrant for years to come.Purchase
Deep ruby red in color. The aroma is a complex mixture of dark fruits, wood and spice. Black cherries, blackberries and plum mix with toasty oak and herbs de provence. The 2009 is rich on the palate with more dark fruits as well as coco powder and black licorice. A solid backbone of chalky tannins make for a long, age worthy finish.Purchase
This wine has a beautiful dark ruby hue. The aroma is a seductive mixture of sweet fruit and spicy wood. Layers of black cherry, plum and spice mix with a touch of new French oak to create a very enticing nose. On the palate the wine is soft with velvety tannins but maintains enough backbone (acidity) to finish crisp and clean.Purchase
2009 Cuvee Braylie
On the palate red fruits are front and center with cherry, plum and pomegranate all in the mix. The finish brings that wood note back and nicely balanced acidity and tannin keep the wine fresh and lively. This is a complex wine that is drinking great now but will certainly benefit from some time in a cool, dark cellar.Purchase
This wine is very Northern Rhône in style, with a blast of white pepper, cherry and blackberry flavors laced with leather and wild herb notes, and the tannins are sizable.Purchase
2007 Syrah/Cabernet (65% Syrah, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon)
Aged 30 months in French Oak Barrels. Big, ripe and tightly wound, with a range of black cherry, wild berry, currant, anise and prune notes. Turns elegant and polished on the finish.Purchase
Bright ruby red in color, this wine has a very expressive aroma of fresh blackberries along with baking spices and just a hint of the toasty oak it lived in for nearly two years. On the palate blackberries and sour cherry dominate with characteristic Barbera acidity adding mouthwatering structure.Purchase
2009 Hermanas Cuvee
Beautiful deep red color with shimmering clarity. Ripe fruit and rich earthy aromas are prevalent on the nose. Cherries and blackberries are woven together with cedar and spice. On the palate this wine is soft and juicy with more of the cherry fruit quality coming out. Medium bodied with great balance between acidity and tannin. It should age gracefully for another 5 to 7 years.Purchase

The finish shifts a bit to a more savory impression that will help this wine pair well with a wide array of foods.Purchase
Very plush and lush, offering deep, ripe aromas of blackberries, currents, violets, herbs and smokey cedar. Beautiful floral rose petal notes show through as well. Medium in body with great fruit weight and soft but lingering tannins.Purchase
This wine has a dark, rich ruby color that sets the stage for what’s to come. The nose is complex and continues to shift between the best qualities of the two varietals. At first there is dusty black cherry fruit and smoke from the Sangiovese and then wafts of pepper and dried meats from the Syrah. On the palate the wine is soft and round and has lots of primary, sweet, ripe fruit quality. There is a nice, crisp backbone of acidity that keeps the finish lively and long.Purchase
