A truly graceful syrah. <strong>2005 Syrah </strong> Ripe and invigorating with black currant and fig fruit supported by licorice, chocolate and cocoa notes with a long finish of fruit and mineral notes. <strong>2007 Barbera (Central Coast)</strong> A bright and fruity red, with fresh raspberry and cherry tart aromas. With hints of chocolate, vanilla bean and mineral, with loads of flavor and good clean length. <strong>2007 Hermanas Cuvee (Santa Barbara County)</strong> A generous, almost lavish mouthful of plum, black cherry, and blackberry preserve. With lots of black pepper, nutmeg and allspice flavors that remain rich and focused through the wide-open finish. <strong>2007 Refosco (Central Coast) </strong> This is a beautiful wine with layers of luscious fruit and ripe berries. This has wonderful aromas of cherry, raspberry and spice. This Refosco has an elegant, but yet dense mouth feel, with great mineral notes, and a smokey tannin finish of new French oak. Shows great structure, elegance and depth! <strong>2007 Sangiovese (BARREL SELECT)</strong> A powerful young wine with lots of class. Wonderful aromas of crushed berries with hints of mineral and spice. Full-bodied, with tons of polished tannins. Loads of fruit on the finish that makes the mouth water for more! <strong>2007 Syrah </strong> Plush and concentrated, with a core of red cherry, warm roasted fig, and raspberry fruit. Topped with white pepper and sweet smoke. Super fresh acidity is buried deep, making the seriously long finish seem sleek in feel, with plenty of grip in reserve. <strong>2007 Syrah/Sangiovese </strong> Dense and complex, yet balances precisely enough to let the currant, cherry, and blackberry fruit pierces through a veil of crisp tannins. Exudes power without excessive weight. The finish lingers extraordinarily well.
