This wine has a beautiful dark ruby hue. The aroma is a seductive mixture of sweet fruit and spicy wood. Layers of black cherry, plum and spice mix with a touch of new French oak to create a very enticing nose. On the palate the wine is soft with velvety tannins but maintains enough backbone (acidity) to finish crisp and clean.

Beautiful deep red color with shimmering clarity. Ripe fruit and rich earthy aromas are prevalent on the nose. Cherries and blackberries are woven together with cedar and spice. On the palate this wine is soft and juicy with more of the cherry fruit quality coming out. Medium bodied with great balance between acidity and tannin. It should age gracefully for another 5 to 7 years.

Refosco

Deep ruby red in color. The aroma is a complex mixture of dark fruits, wood and spice. Black cherries, blackberries and plum mix with toasty oak and herbs de provence. The 2009 is rich on the palate with more dark fruits as well as coco powder and black licorice. A solid backbone of chalky tannins make for a long, age worthy finish.

Rich, ruby red color. The nose is classic Sta. Rita Hills Pinot… black cherries and raspberries with a ton of that cola spice that distinguishes this super cool-climate growing area. On the palate there is more of the cherry/berry theme along with some toasty flavor from French oak barrels. The mouth feel is soft and glossy with a terrific dose of acidity holding it all together and lengthening the finish.
